FAQs
When and where will the reunion be held?
JULY 20TH, 2024 is the date for our reunion dinner dance to be held at the UConn Alumni Center. Our 40th reunion was held there and it was so beautiful a setting, we decided to return. There will be other weekend events planned as time progresses. Stay tuned to this website to keep up-to-date on our plans!
Can EOS Alumni from Other Classes Attend the 50th Reunion Events?
Attendees of the Saturday Night Bash dinner must be members or guests of a member of the EOS Class of ‘74. After the dinner is over (at 8 pm), all EOS alumni are welcome to attend the Bash subject to a small entrance fee at the door (amount pending).
The Friday Night Meet & Greet at Skungamaug River Golf Club is open only to members of the EOS Class of ‘74.
The Saturday Tour of EOS and Sunday picnic at Columbia Lake are open to all EOS alumni.
What if I’d like to attend the reunion but have concerns about the cost?
Please contact a member of the organizing committee if you have any questions about money. We would like everyone who can come to be able to come. All concerns will be addressed and kept confidential.
What events will be included in the reunion weekend?
Similarly to previous reunions, a pre-reunion Friday Night Meet & Greet, a Saturday Tour of EOS, a Saturday Night Reunion Dinner Bash (the main event), and a Sunday Picnic at Columbia Lake are planned. See the 50th Reunion Events web page for details.
Are the Saturday Night Bash tickets cancellable?
The $85 event fee is fully refundable up until 30 days in advance of the event. Within 30 days of the event, no refunds will be provided. The small ticketing fee is not refundable.
How can I help?
You can send pictures of old photos for the website and Reunion Dinner slideshow to eosclassof74@gmail.com.
You can help us find class members who have been difficult to locate. Here’s the list!
Send an email to eosclassof74@gmail.com if you will be able to help the day of the reunion. We can always use an extra set of hands the day of the reunion dinner dance.
Why should I attend this reunion?
A reunion is a great way to meet with former classmates. You may be surprised by the conversations you have with people you didn’t even know well. We’ve all lived a lot in these past years. Come have fun with people that knew you way back when. Who knows, maybe even a teacher or two may show up. It is also a great way to see how Storrs, Mansfield, and the University of Connecticut campus have changed in the last 50 years.
I have some amazing pictures of the Class of 1974. How can I submit them to this website?
Email any pictures you would like to contribute to the reunion committee at eosclassof74@gmail.com
Are spouses welcome at reunion events?
Absolutely! Come alone or bring someone. Reunions are always a good place to introduce someone special in your life to people who knew you a long time ago. Your life becomes richer when you connect your current life to your past.
